Good morning, Richie. Good morning, everybody.

It is a bright and sunny day in Monaco as things are about to get really exciting. As the €100,000 Super High Roller event plays to its winner this afternoon, the €10,000 Main Event gets going on Day 1A.

Moments ago in the Salle des Etoiles at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort, Edgar Stuchly, the president of the European Poker Tour, went through his regular introductions. The adjectives poured out as usual: beautiful, wonderful, glamorous, exclusive. One glimpse out of the window and you knew exactly what he meant.

Our modest home for the week

We at PokerStars Blog also extend our welcomes you to the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final. Where have you been for the past two days?

Today, our plan is simple. We will finish off that Super High Roller event, crowing a champion who will depart with more than €2 million. We will also play eight 75-minute levels in the Main Event, which will take us close to midnight.

There will be the usual array of stars dragging their feet into that event through the day. However many show up, there will be double that number tomorrow, and by Day 2 we’ll know how much they are all playing for.

You can follow all the action on PokerStars Blog: the Super High Roller is on the Super High Roller page, the Main Event is on the Main Event page and the France Poker Series event is on the FPS page.

It’s also about time you downloaded the EPT app. There you will get all the latest news, chip counts and payouts. You can download it on Android or IOS.
