Home / Uncategorized / LAPT8 Bahamas: Aces again for Finger bounces Borenstein in seventh

Martin Finger comes to this LAPT Bahamas final table with a WSOP bracelet and an EPT Main Event win (and an EPT Super High Roller title, too), giving him a shot at a kinda-sorta-Triple Crown should he come away with the win.

If things continue for the rest of the day and night as they’ve begun for the German, we’ll have to come up with some way to describe the first LAPT-EPT-WSOP winner.

Earlier Finger used two red aces to oust Mustapha Kanit in eighth. Just after the start of the new level, the table’s short stack, Jonathan Borenstein, open-shoved from under the gun with A♣ Qâ™  and when it was Finger’s turn he looked down and saw a familiar sight — A♥ A♦ again.

Finger just called the shove, hoping to attract others, but no one else came along, and the subsequent 3♣ 2♠ J♠ 3♦ 10♥ board had Borenstein drawing dead by the turn, leaving the Michigan-based player with a seventh-place finish and a $51,540 payday.

Finger is now up to 4.455 million with six players left. All are relatively deep, but we’ll see if anyone can slow Finger’s momentum.
