So, imagine you are about enter a tournament, and the tournament director says, “Oh, I’m sorry, this tourney costs a lot more than what you have in your pocket.”
You shrug and get ready to walk away, when the TD says, “Aw, heck! Come on and play anyway!”
And then you win 1,000 times what you bought in for.
That’s sort of how PokerStars’ new Spin & Go tournaments work.
If you log on to PokerStars today, you will see a new Spin & Go tab in the lobby. There are 3-player tourneys ranging from $1 to $30 with prize pools between 2 and 1,000 times the buy-in. They are fast-paced 500-chip Sit & Go tournaments. You can enter one or a bunch at a time.
Once you sit down, it’s going to get a little crazy. Things are going to start spinning, and you’re going to want to be watching closely.
Why?
Because when that spinner stops, you’re going to know what kind of prize pool you’re going to be playing for.
Bought in for $1? You could be playing for a $1,200 prize pool. Bought in for $30? You prize pool could be $36,000!
Spin & Go tourneys are available in $1, $3, $7, $15, and $30 buy-ins. Here’s the break down of how much each buy-in level can offer.
$1 = up to $1,200 prize pool
$3 = up to $3,600 prize pool
$7 = up to $8,400 prize pool
$15 = up to $1,8000 prize pool
$30 = up to $36,000 prize pool
