Another rock’em, sock’em Super Tuesday has come and gone, this lasting about 10 hours and 40 minutes — a bit shorter than some, though no less competitive than most as the $1,050 no-limit hold’em tournament again drew many of the biggest names in online poker. At the conclusion of the relatively rapid event Brazil’s Alisson “heyalisson” Piekazewicz was the one in possession of all the chips, and as a result also claimed the tournament’s $97,660 first prize.

A total of 514 players took part, just about the same as a week ago, meaning a $514,000 prize pool that easily bested the $400K guarantee. It took about five-and-a-half hours for the money bubble to burst, and with 63 left former Super Tuesday winner Peter “tonkaaaa” Talbot had been enjoying a decent-sized chip lead.

A little over two hours after that they were down to 18, with Peter “tonkaaaa” Talbot still in the mix with a below average stack and caaaaamel the new chip leader.

About an hour after that just nine remained. Artem “FaNjkEEE” Kobylynskyi (18th), JohnPaiste (17th), and Ami “UhhMee” Barer (16th) were the next three to fall, each taking away $4,112. Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver (15th), Daris “DEX888” Pedes (14th), and SeeYouAnte18 (13th) followed them to the rail, earning $5,140 apiece. Then zÿax (12th), DaMotherFkr (11th), and Carster (10th) were each eliminated, making $6,168 each.

With Peter “tonkaaaa” Talbot still alive and caaaaamel still the pace-setter, the final table was underway.

Seat 1: Adam “Roothlus” Levy (Canada) — 125,660
Seat 2: Alisson “heyalisson” Piekazewicz (Brazil) — 291,697
Seat 3: Siewas (Poland) — 231,313
Seat 4: mrvogt (Denmark) — 309,181
Seat 5: O’Pennyworth (United Kingdom) — 141,716
Seat 6: Alexander “AlexKP” Petersen (Denmark) — 443,887
Seat 7: Pumpingpoker (Russia) — 339,534
Seat 8: Peter “tonkaaaa” Talbot (Canada) — 151,234
Seat 9: caaaaamel (Austria) — 535,778

About 15 minutes into the final table, the blinds were 4,000/8,000 when a preflop raising war erupted between mrvogt and leader caaaaamel, culminating with a five-bet shove from caaaaamel and a call from mrvogt putting the latter’s stack of just over 320,000 at risk.

mrvogt had A♣ Aâ™  and a big edge over caaaaamel’s Kâ™  K♥ , but the 4â™  10♣ K♦ flop landed with a thud to make a set for caaaaamel and put mrvogt in bad shape. The turn was the Qâ™  and river the 5♣ , and mrvogt was suddenly done in ninth.

Just a few minutes later Adam “Roothlus” Levy open-pushed his stack of just over 68,000 (about eight-and-a-half big blinds) all in from middle position with 9♣ 8♣ and got one caller in Alexander “AlexKP” Petersen in the big blind with K♦ Q♦ . The board ran out 10♥ 3♥ A♥ K♥ J♣ , giving Petersen a straight and sending Levy railward in eighth.

The remaining seven all made it to the tourney’s 10-hour mark, by which point Alisson “heyalisson” Piekazewicz had taken over the top spot from caaaaamel.

Just a couple of minutes into the 11th hour it was caaaaamel min-raising to 24,000 from the button, then Siewas shoved for almost 225,000 and caaaaamel called. Siewas had A♠ 8♠ but caaaaamel had A♥ J♣ . The flop brought an eight, but it brought a jack as well, coming 8♦ J♥ 7♦ . The turn was the Q♦ and river the J♠ , and Siewas was knocked out in seventh.

Less than five minutes later caaaaamel was min-raising again to 24,000, this time from middle position, then Pumpingpoker reraise-shoved for almost 325,000 from the big blind and caaaaamel called. Pumpingpoker had Aâ™  K♦ and was looking for an ace versus caaaaamel’s Kâ™  K♣ , but the community cards didn’t cooperate, coming 8♣ 9♥ 8♦ J♦ 6♦ , and Pumpingpoker’s run ended in sixth.

About 15 minutes later the blinds were 7,000/14,000 when Alisson “heyalisson” Piekazewicz opened for 30,800 from the hijack seat and got one caller in Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot in the big blind. The flop came 5♣ K♦ 9♣ , and Talbot check-called a bet of 27,072 from Piekazewicz. Both players then checked the 9♥ turn.

The river was the 10♠ . Talbot led for 111,100, and Piekazewicz raised big enough to put Talbot all in, with the latter responding by pushing in his last 145,371. Talbot had Q♠ J♣ for a straight, but Piekazewicz had K♥ K♠ for a full house and Talbot was eliminated in fifth.

Not long after that Alexander “AlexKP” Petersen open-pushed from UTG for just over 202,000 (a little less than 13 BBs), then chip leader Alisson “heyalisson” Piekazewicz reraised big from the small blind to isolate. Petersen had A♥ 5♣ but was outkicked by the A♦ Qâ™  of Piekazewicz, and after the board ran out 2♣ 7â™  Aâ™  6â™  6♥ those side cards played and Petersen was knocked out in fourth.

Less than 10 minutes later O’Pennyworth opened for the minimum with a raise to 32,000 from the button, caaaaamel pushed all in from the small blind for about 242,000, and O’Pennyworth called. caaaaamel had 3♦ 3♥ and hopes the small pair would survive versus O’Pennyworth’s Q♥ 10♥ , but the board came J♥ 8â™  Q♦ A♣ K♥ to give O’Pennyworth Broadway and stop caaaaamel in third.

That hand gave O’Pennyworth just over 671,000 to start heads-up play, a little over a third of the almost 1.9 million Alisson “heyalisson” Piekazewicz had. After a dozen hands O’Pennyworth had chipped all of the way up over 1 million, but that’s when the night’s final hand suddenly took place.

It began with a 3x button raise to 48,000 by O’Pennyworth, to which Piekazewicz responded by three-betting to 144,000 and O’Pennyworth called. The flop came all spades — 4â™  7â™  9â™  — and after Piekazewicz led for 160,600, O’Pennyworth shoved all in for 871,440 and Piekazewicz called.

O’Pennyworth turned over J♥ 10â™  for a flush draw plus a gutshot, while Piekazewicz had Q♣ Q♦ for the overpair. The turn was the 4♦ and river the 10♥ , not enough for O’Pennyworth as Piekazewicz took the pot and this week’s Super Tuesday title.

Congratulations to Alisson “heyalisson” Piekazewicz for outlasting a big field and tough final table to win the Super Tuesday and a $97,660 prize.
