Action was the name of the game for the next round of tournaments on the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker series. The seventh event featured three variants of a No Limit Hold’em tournament with rebuys, add-ons, and a fast pace.

The medium buy-in version had an $82 buy-in and unlimited rebuys for the first 90 minutes. Those remaining could throw more chips in their stack via with an add-on purchase before the game locked down. The tournament drew 1,975 players and they hit the rebuy button 2,504 times with another 1,610 add-ons at the end of the rebuy period. It all added up to a $456,675 prize pool, easily passing the $250,000 guarantee, and the winner was set to earn more than $73,000.

The tournament was so deep it required two days to finish off. Only 33 of the starting players were able to survive through 28 levels and Russian SSELrive was the leader when the returned to play down to the next SCOOP champion. Other notables included Christian “charder30” Harder, Ami “UhhMee” Barer, and Rafeal “GM_VALTER” Moraes.

The Day 2 field quickly dropped down to the last two tables and then pumped the brakes for a big slowdown. It took over 45 minutes to lose the next player from those two tables but it finally happened when mestrepfilipe’s Aâ™  K♥ couldn’t outrace Sochobi’s J♦ J♣ .

Those 45 minutes were also crazy for Harder. The poker pro was sitting with over 2,000,000 at one point, dropped under 250,000 (less than 10 big blinds), but found back to show 1,700,000 when mestrefilipe was sent out.

It took nearly two hours to play down to the final table bubble, and then another six hands to get them there. It finally happened when K1ngdomCome called matt86ck’s shove after the J♥ 7♦ 4♣ flop. K1ngcome was correct with Qâ™  J♦ against Jâ™  2â™  and the former Sunday Warmup champ was gone in 10th to set up the final table.

Sochobi says bye, eliminated in 9th

Martin “Sochobi” Piven was the shortest stack at the start of the final table and made it through 12 hands before running into a problem. K1ngdomCome opened the action from early position and Piven found a hand to take a stand. He moved all-in over the top with 7â™  7♣ and found himself flipping against 10♣ 9♣ .

Piven stayed alive on the Q♥ J♥ 3♠ flop but K1ngdomCome added an open-ended straight draw. The 4♣ turn was safe for Piven but the 10♦ river bested his pair to send him out 9th for $4,566.

Barer cracks Kings

Ami “UhhMee” Barer has nearly $10 million in career earnings between his online and live results, two SCOOPS of success, and one Aussie Millions Main Event title. He knows you have to get lucky sometimes.

His latest bit of good luck came when he moved over the top of a Ticiz raise for all his chips with Q♣ Q♥ and ran square into K♣ K♥ . It was a pretty standard cooler in that situation but it changed to a beat when he nailed the A♥ Q♠ 9♠ flop.

The hand moved Barer right under 4 million in chips and created the biggest pot of the tournament so far. Ticiz is no stranger to success himself with a Sunday Millions win to his credit, but he’d need a lot of help to come back.

Ticiz gets Jacked by charder, eliminated in 8th

Ticiz was never able to bounce back from the beat Barer laid on him and put his 1.1 million in the middle soon after when Barer min-raised under the gun. Harder responded by moving all-in over the top and he isolated against Ticiz.

Harder was ahead with J♦ J♣ against 9♦ 9♥ to leave Ticiz looking for a reciprocal beat. The board didn’t help him when it ran out 6♥ 5♥ 2♣ 4♣ A♥ to send Ticiz out in 8th place for $7,991 and move Harder over 4 million.

danloulou flushed by charder, eliminated in 7th

Christian Harder kept up his pressure on the final table and had another player at risk just a few hands after he sent out Ticiz. This time it was Harder who needed to come from behind.

The big hand began when Barer opened for a min-raise to 200,000 and Harder three-bet to 489,000. Former Sunday Millions champ Dan “danloulou” Smyth put in a fourth bet for 785,649. A bet which left behind a cheeky 200 stack.

Barer moved out of the way and Harder put Smyth all-in holding A♥ 10♥ . Smyth was in line for the double up with Aâ™  Q♣ but Harder added a flush draw on the K♥ 6♥ 2♦ flop. Smyth didn’t mind the 3♣ turn but the 9♥ complete Harder’s flush to send him out in 7th place for $12,330.

Barer’s turn to double up

Even with his big double up earlier, Barer was still looking up at half the table. His turn among the leaders came against one of the players who could give him a full double.

Rafael “GM_VALTER” Moraes opened under the gun for the minimum and Barer three-bet to 467,625 with Q♦ Q♥ . Moraes wasn’t buying and put Barer all-in with a fourth bet holding 3â™  3♥ to get a quick call.

Nothing changed on the A♠ K♥ 4♦ flop but Moraes added a gutshot wheel draw on the 5♦ turn. The river was a blank and Barer doubled to just under 5,000,000 was shy of 3,000,000.

GM_VALTER can’t recover, eliminated in 6th

Moraes was able to grind out another orbit before finding a hand to make a move. He shoved for 2,993,078 from the small blind after K1ngdomCome opened to 252,500 from the button. The all-in was quickly called and Moraes was racing with A♥ Q♠ against J♠ J♣ .

Moraes picked up a gutshot Broadway draw on the K♦ 10♥ 6♣ but missed all his outs on the 10♣ turn and 7♦ river. It was a tough few hands for the former Super Tuesday winner but he was gone in 6th for $16,896.

spaise411 coolered, eliminated in 5th

Pocket Jacks look pretty good at a five-handed table with big money on the and the blinds climbing. spaise411 saw his chance to use them after Barer opened for the minimum from under the gun and K1ngdomCome three-bet to 711,600.

spaise411 moved in for 3,154,706 total to get a fold from Barer but K1ngdomCome took a little time to decide. He eventually called with Q♦ Q♣ and had to be glad to see spaise411’s J♥ Jâ™  .

The K♦ 7♣ 4♥ flop and 9♥ were no help to spaise411 before K1ngdomCome hit the overkill set with the river Q♥ . Jacks probably looked good but they were no match for Queens and spaise411 hit the virtual rail in 5th place for $21,692.

Seat 1: K1ngdomCome (9,473,806 in chips)
Seat 5: allecorrea (3,471,744 in chips)
Seat 6: Ami “UhhMee” Barer (5,597,806 in chips)
Seat 8: Christian “charder30” Harder (2,943,644 in chips)

Blinds: 70k/140k with 17.5k ante

Barer is harder than charder, eliminated in 4th

Harder was the low man on the totem pole but had plenty of experience coming back from short stacks. He has over $6 million in career online and live results including three WPT final tables and one during the WSOP.

His latest SCOOP run came to an end when he shoved for 2,033,644 after Barer min-raised first to act. It was a quick call with A♥ 10♠ and Harder had two live cards with K♠ J♦ .

The 4♥ 3♦ 2♣ did not help Harder and the 5♥ gave Barer a wheel to leave Harder drawing to a seven-out chop. The 2♦ river didn’t save his tournament life and he was eliminated in 4th place for $30,026

Seat 1: K1ngdomCome (9,449,306 in chips)
Seat 5: allecorrea (4,581,244 in chips)
Seat 6: Ami “UhhMee” Barer (7,456,450 in chips)

Blinds: 70k/140k with 17.5k ante

Barer chopped down, eliminated in 3rd

Barer was sitting comfortably in the middle among the final three players but his stack slowly dropped in a series of smaller pots. allecorrea swapped places with him before they each found two nice pairs at the short-handed table.

allecorrea opened from the button and Barer raised to 754,200 from the small blind. K1ngdomCome let his hand go and allecorrea four-bet to 1,760,000 to see a shove from Barer for 3,772,325 total.

Barer tabled 10â™  10♥ which looked like a top hand until allecorra showed Q♥ Q♦ . It was another final table cooler but things got interesting on the A♥ 10♦ 7♦ flop. Barer’s middle set was looking tough to beat but the 4♦ set the suck/resuck in motion. It ended with the J♦ river to give allecorrea the running flush and sent Barer out in 3rd place for $41,100.

Seat 1: K1ngdomCome (6,080,000 in chips)
Seat 5: allecorrea (15,407,000 in chips)

Blinds: 80k/160k with 20k ante

allecorrea conquers them all to win SCOOP Event #07-M

It was a cheery affair between the two final players when allecorrea and K1ngdomCome paused the action to discuss a deal. They quickly came to terms and returned to action for just five more hands.

They traded a few chips back and forth before the last big hand, with monster cards, came around. They each had strong hole cards so it was a delicate dance to get the chips in the middle. It took five bets before allecorrea put K1ngdomCome all-in holding A♠ Q♥ against K♠ K♦ .

allecorrea needed a little help to end the tournament right here but he received a lot of help. The flop came A♦ A♥ Q♣ to leave K1ngdomCome as a 0.1% dog, a good flop for allecorrea’s hand, as the kids like to say. K1ngdomCome needed running Kings to stay alive.

The longshot was done early and K1ngdomCome was drawing dead on the 10♠ turn before the useless smaller boat K♥ river. The hand sent K1ngdomCome out in the runner-up position for $60,000 and made allecorrea the latest SCOOP champion plus the $67,870 that went along with it.
