Crazy Pineapple. For those situations where regular pineapple just won’t cut it.
The difference between the two is pretty simple, in regular Pineapple you are dealt three cards and discard one before the flop, in Crazy Pineapple the discard comes after the flop. On the surface of things, that isn’t particularly crazy, in fact holding onto the extra card until after the flop seems remarkably sensible. Crazy should be a word reserved for Nicolas Cage performances.
Never the less, there were a total of 56 players who played today’s €200 Crazy Pineapple Turbo with first prize being €3,290. They’re down to the final table with 8 places are being paid a minimum of €435. Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki and Dzmitry Urbanovich are among the finalists.
There are 18 players so far in the €1k EPT Triple Stud Championships (Stud, Stud Hi/Lo, Razz). Vladimir Troyanovskiy is one of those involved in this event.
Perhaps the biggest event today is the €1,500 6-Handed event with 30 minute levels. Over 150 players are involved including Team PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo, Leo McClean, Steven van Zadelhoff, Patrick Leonard, Toby Lewis, Jason Duval, Ole Schemion, Shannon Shorr, Ami Barer, Jack Salter, Dermot Blain, Pierre Neuville, Joao Barbosa, Jannick Wrang, Stephen Chidwick, Manig Loeser, David Yan, Oleksii Khoroshenin, Juha Helppi, Joni Jouhkimainen, JC Alverado, Fabrice Soulier, David Vamplew, Andrey Shatilov, Martin Finger, Jeff Rossiter and Vitaly Lunkin. This event is stacked better than an expert jenga game.
The other event that has just gotten under way is the €100 Super Holdem Turbo. There are 17 players so far including Kenny Hallaert. This event features unlimited €50 rebuys. For those of you wondering what Super Holdem is, it’s similar to Pineapple and Sensible Crazy Pineapple except there are no discards and all three cards from your hand play.
