The €200 Grasel Sweets SuperStack, sponsored by Official EPT Chocolate Partner Suesswaren Grasel, has just kicked off at Casino Barriere Deauville. Suesswaren Grasel is an Austrian family owned company, specializing in the distribution of chocolate brands such as Milka and Toblerone.

Over 160 players have already turned up for the sweetest event on the EPT Deauville schedule – nearly 90% of them are French, (perhaps a useful hint to Grasel about which country they should be promoting their service in!) Among those competing are, FPS Deauville finalist Yohan Figueiras, Timothee Colcher (runner-up in the €1k NL Turbo Bounty four days ago), Aurelie Quelain who will be starring in the next La Maison du Bluff poker TV show, Annie Noel (who won the €300 Freezeout Turbo last year) and her husband Jacky who won the €100 Hyper Turbo on the last day of last season’s event plus Canada’s Casey Greggain who was fourth in the €1k NL Deepstack at EPT Prague.

In the €500, the bubble has burst after Raffaele Sorrentino went out in 14th place with KJ running into AA with the board coming 710269. Since then, the final table has been reached and Petr Jelinek, who won the €2k event the other night, is among the last nine players hoping to claim the €11,350 first prize.

In the €800 Deepstack, just 14 players remain going into the last level of the day before coming back tomorrow to finish the tournament. It’s a cagey scenario as they’re on the bubble at this moment with nothing for 14th but a minimum of €1,580 for anyone in the money. Phillipe Le Touche currently leads the tournament with a stack of 290,000 and blinds at 2,000/4,000 while former EPT finalist Ilan Boujenah is in second place.

Finally, the €1,500 event now has over 100 runners including Dominik Nitsche, Anton Wigg, Paul Testud, Pierre Neuville, David Vamplew and Dario Sammartino. Like the Grasel Sweet Superstack, it’s expected to finish later tonight between 1am and 2am.
