The great 20th Century philosopher Ferris Bueller once said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around for a while, you could miss it.” Ferris Bueller would have loved Hyper-Turbo tournaments with three-minute blinds because you can experience a lifetime of drama in under two hours.

1 hour and 58 minutes. That’s how long it took Sherfy to magically turn $215 into $75,832.47 in TCOOP Event #23. Mexico’s Sherfy took a lead into the final table, but when it got heads-up, zerotape held a 2-1 chip advantage. Sherfy won seven out of the first ten hands to pull even, and then finished off zerotape in only 21 hands.

TCOOP Event #23 $215 NL (6-Max, Hyper-Turbo) attracted 2,284 runners. Those short-handed hyper-turbo enthusiasts generated a prize pool worth $481,467.20. Only the top 288 places were paid out with $75,832.47 set aside to the champion.

Over 93% of the field was liquidated in the first hour with only 150 players left in the hunt. By the 90 minute mark, only three tables of 18 runners remained, with Canada’s wildside7337 holding onto the top spot with 1.6M. With seven to go in this 6-max event, action went hand-for-hand. Short-stacked zola25222 bubbled off the final table in seventh place after whiffing on a flush draw with 6â™  5â™  versus andrey8677’s A♥ 10♦ .
