There was something enjoyable about Team Online Pro Marc-Andre Ladouceur tweet in the early hours of Monday morning. It was pleasantly matter-of-fact. Not a brag as such, more a statement of fact. Words that were instinctive rather than rehearsed; honest, without being boastful.

That pretty much says it all.

Ladouceur, won $59,133.64 for his night’s work, chopping things heads-up with runner-up DonkCommited, from Mexico, who walked away with a consolation $60,991.36.

I like to imagine Marc-Andre was sitting in front of his screen as the congratulatory message popped up, thinking to himself, “huh!” Perhaps there were celebrations, a raised arm, a few fist pumps. Maybe the sedate reaction owed more to the time of day than any poise.

Marc-Andre Ladouceur: “Huh!”

But what more can you say winning the Sunday 500 other than “Won the Gold”. Actions speak louder than words. Perhaps because of this Ladouceur kept it brief.

Congratulations Marc-Andre.
