The $500,000 guarantee Sunday Warm-Up started with 3,135 runners creating a $627,000 prize pool holding nearly six-figures for the winner. antifulltilt and mistakooll would chop up the majority of the final two money spots. In the end SCOOP champ mistakooll claimed the top spot and $89,298.00.

sirtenzoe chopped a WCOOP event but would narrowly miss another big final table after busting in 15th place ($2,915.55).

After Gratitdude, who made the final table here in May (13th place, $2,915.55), and shibonimo (14th place, $2,915.55) took a seat on the rail, the remaining 12 players would enjoy a five minute respite after nine hours of play.

Half hour later lexa0702 would leave the tournament in 11th place ($3,856.05) opening up hand-for-hand play. After a tense 15 minutes, icebearr’s A♥ Q♥ would fail to catch up to pellompogos’ pocket sevens 7♦ 7♠ on a 4♦ 6♦ 10♦ 4♠ 2♠ board to start up the final table below:

Above you can see the first hand of the final table, which was also the last for elpipsi87. The shortstack open shoved from the small blind for 1.7 million holding K♠ 4♣ but found a caller in a Bull 67 with a dominate K♣ Q♦ . Both would pair their king, but a Bull 67 paired the kicker 5♦ J♦ K♦ 2♠ Q♥ sending elpipsi87 home in ninth place ($5,016.00).

Nearly ten minutes later and just before the tenth hourly break, anteen would shove all-in for 2.5 million with pocket sevens 7♦ 7♣ . But, mistakooll held more chips (5.9 million) and jacks J♥ J♠ . After the 2♠ 4♦ 10♦ 5♠ 4♣ board, anteen collected $7,837.50 in eighth place.

A Bull 67 continued charging through the field. 15 minutes into the 10th hour of play, a shortstacked thewattsy would pick up jacks J♥ J♠ and push all-in but a few seats over a Bull 67 held kings K♥ K♠ . No luck for thewattsy on the Q♣ 3♦ 2♣ 3♥ 6♦ board, earning $14,107.50 in seventh place.

Nili84 would end up with nil chips after finding pocket treys 3♣ 3♠ and getting looked up by antifulltilt’s queens Q♦ Q♣ . The clean A♣ 7♣ 10♥ J♦ 4♣ board sent the 4.3 million chip pot to antifulltilt and $20,377.50 to Nili84 in sixth place.

Anti-everyone

After knocking out Niki84, antifulltilt would take aim at the rest of the table. First, with the blinds up to 125K/250K ante 25K pellompogos, who earned a whopping quarter of a million during the Sunday Million 7th anniversary final table in 2013, tried to shove 1.84 million over a min-raise by antifulltilt. Willing to gamble antifulltilt made the call with 3♠ A♥ , dominated by pellompogos’ A♠ Q♠ . The domination lasted until the flop 7♣ 7♦ 3♦ 5♥ 2♠ sending another big score ($26,841.87) to pellompogos in fifth place.

Seven hands later a Bull 67 and antifulltilt, both holding sizable stacks would face-off preflop for the chip lead. After a series of raises and 16 million chips in the middle, antifulltilt showed pocket kings K♦ K♠ , a little bit better than a Bull 67’s big slick K♥ A♥ . The 6♦ 2♦ 4♥ 3♣ 2♠ board provided no changes as a Bull 67 claimed $36,052.50 in fourth place.

Twenty minutes later, aufzuckerter stuck between the two bigger stacks, finally succumbed to their constant raising. Holding just 3.1 million chips and blinds at 200K/400K ante 40K aufzuckerter’s 5♠ A♠ would fall short of overtaking antifulltilt’s 7♣ A♥ on the 7♥ Q♦ 2♦ J♠ 5♦ board to land $52,041.00 in third place.

antifulltilt and mistakooll heads-up for the title

While antifulltilt started with a sizable chip lead (24.4 million to 6.8 million), a couple of all-ins after ten minutes of play left the final two close enough to make a quick deal leaving $10K aside for the weekly champ:

antifulltilt: $82,500.00
mistakooll: $79,298.00

Neither player was willing to give up the title easily as antifulltilt nearly won a Sunday Million in 2013 (third place, $108K) and mistakooll was a runner-up here in 2011 earning $113K.

Finally the big hand would come down after sparring for several minutes. With the blinds up to 250K/500K ante 50K and the board showing 2♣ 7♣ 10♦ 4♠ Q♣ and 9.1 million chips already in the middle, antifulltilt shoved for 11.7 million holding the rivered pair J♠ Q♦ . But, mistakooll did one better and called with the winning flush J♣ 3♣ .

antifulltilt would spin up a stack from near nothing but mistakooll put away the tournament six minutes later earning a total of $89,298.00 as this week’s Sunday Warm-Up champion!
