A new, earlier starting time this week for the Super Tuesday — moved back to 14:00 ET from 17:00 ET — didn’t do too much to alter the trend of big turnouts for PokerStars’ weekly $1,050 no-limit hold’em tournament. A total of 590 took part this week, making a prize pool of $590,000, well over the event’s $400K guarantee. And after almost 11 hours and 45 minutes it was Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur playing from Mexico who took down the title and a $93,626.66 prize following a three-handed final table deal.

The top 72 finishers split the prize money, and well after the money bubble burst and 18 players remained it was Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur leading the counts as the tournament moved into its ninth hour.

It would take almost two hours more before nine more players had hit the rail. Keven “Stammdogg” Stammen (18th), Ludovic “ludovi333” Geilich (17th), and GadMO (16th) each picked up $4,720 for their finishes. Douglas “Dowgh-Santos” Ferreira (15th), Rocco “Sephirot88” Palumbo (14th), and Zareta (13th) came away with $5,900 apiece. Then Scott “stpauli11” Hall (12th), Kamikaze485 (11th), and Pascal “pistecaloze” Vos (10th) went out, earning $7,080 each.

With harrrrmonica the new chip leader, jliberta146 not far behind, and the tourney’s 10-hour mark approaching, the final table was underway.

Seat 1: harrrrmonica (Russia) — 642,454
Seat 2: Rui “sousinha23” Sousa (Portugal) — 238,064
Seat 3: Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur (Mexico) — 429,589
Seat 4: jliberta146 (Canada) — 627,024
Seat 5: Slaktaren007 (Sweden) — 131,832
Seat 6: norfair18 (Costa Rica) — 126,252
Seat 7: Vlad “dariepoker” Darie (Romania) — 452,004
Seat 8: Ondrej “Vinkyy” Vinklarek (Czech Republic) — 76,710
Seat 9: el_klonkador (Sweden) — 226,071

About 10 minutes into the final table, the blinds were at 7,000/14,000 when Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur opened with a raise to 31,485 from middle position. It folded around to a short-stacked Ondrej “Vinkyy” Vinklarek who had but 6,210 left after posting the big blind, and Vinkalrek called with the last of his chips.

Vinklarek had K♥ 9♥ and Paur A♣ 3♠ . The flop came 8♦ 2♣ 3♦ and the turn the A♦ , giving Paur two pair and making the river K♣ inconsequential for Vinklarek who finished in ninth.

A few minutes later they were in the same level when norfair18 open-raised all in from under the gun for 212,987 (about 15 big blinds). All folded except for Slaktaren007 in the big blind who called with the 43,582 left after posting. Slaktaren007 had A♦ 4â™  and needed to improve versus norfair18’s J♣ Jâ™  , but the board rolled out K♣ 4♣ 7â™  8♣ J♥ and Slaktaren007 was done in eighth.

A little less than an orbit after that, harrrrmonica min-raised to 28,000 from the button, Rui “sousinha23” Sousa reraised all in for 222,814 from the small blind, and harrrrmonica called the push. Sousa had 9â™  9♣ while harrrrmonica had Q♣ Qâ™  . The community cards came 6â™  5♦ K♥ 4♣ A♣ , and Sousa was eliminated in seventh.

A short while later the blinds were 8,000/16,000 when a hand arose that saw the table fold around to Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur in the small blind. Paur — by then the chip leader again with more than 1 million — pushed all in, and jliberta146 called with the all in with the 245,545 left after posting the BB.

Paur had Q♥ Jâ™  while jliberta146 had J♦ Kâ™  . jliberta146 kept the advantage through the 3â™  A♣ 2â™  flop and K♥ turn, having improved to a pair. But the 10♦ came on fifth street, filling a straight for Paur and ending jliberta146’s run in sixth.

The next two knockouts came in short order after the blinds had increased again to 9,000/18,000.

First came a hand that saw norfair18 open for 46,000 from the small blind, Vlad “dariepoker” Darie reraise all in for 292,408 from the big blind, and norfair call. Darie had A♣ 3â™  and was hoping to outrun norfair18’s 7♦ 7♥ , but the 5â™  J♦ J♣ 4â™  K♥ board didn’t cooperate and Darie was out in fifth.

Just a few minutes later, norfair18 opened with a 2x raise to 36,000 from the cutoff seat, el_klonkador reraised all in for 296,392 from the button, harrrrmonica four-bet shoved over the top from the small blind, and the others folded.

harrrrmonica had 9♣ 9♥ and el_klonkador A♣ J♦ . The community cards came 8♠ 10♣ 6♠ , then Q♠ , then 8♥ , providing no help to el_klonkador who was sent railward in fourth.

At that point the final three players stopped the tournament to discuss a possible deal, with Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur then leading with 1,229,109, norfair18 next with 886,301, and harrrrmonica third with 834,590.

Both “ICM”-based figures and “chip chop” numbers were presented, and after Paur petitioned a short while for the “chip chop” numbers he finally relented and agreed with the others to an “ICM” chop that left $8,000 for which to play.

The final trio battled for about a half-hour more, then with the blinds up to 15,000/30,000 Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur raised to 60,000 from the button, harrrrmonica pushed all in for 533,442 total from the big blind, and Paur called.

Paur had A♦ Q♥ and a hand that dominated harrrrmonica’s Aâ™  9♣ . The Q♦ 6â™  4â™  flop put Paur further ahead, although the 2â™  turn did provide harrrrmonica some flush hopes. Fifth street then brought the 10♥ , and harrrrmonica was out in third.

Heads-up play began with Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur in front with 1,869,908 to norfair18’s 1,080,092.

It wasn’t long before Paur had whittled norfair18 down further to less than 500,000. Then a hand came up in which Paur opened from the button for the minimum for 60,000, norfair18 pushed all in for 433,117 total, and Paur called.

tRaMp$d0PrAy” A♣ 7♦
norfair18: K♠ Q♦

norfair18 needed help from the board to survive, but it came J♠ 3♣ 10♥ J♥ 8♥ and Paur had won the extra $8,000 and the Super Tuesday title.

Congratulations to Taylor “tRaMp$d0PrAy” Paur for topping another large and tough Super Tuesday field to win this week’s title.
